At his noon media video conference, Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said there was a forward on his roster who would be a game-time decision for Game 3 against the Tampa Wednesday night, but decline to name him. That player was likely Sean Kuraly, but possibly Anders Bjork.

Both were out of the Boston lineup Wednesday as Cassidy made several changes after losing Game 2 4-3 in overtime Tuesday.

Kuraly, who has been a reliably solid performer and energy provider for the past two postseasons for Boston, which would make it a surprise for him to be a healthy scratch. He played a mixture of fourth line center and third line wing all season and was a regular on the Bruins’ penalty kill. Kuraly has a goal and two assists, but is a -4 in 10 postseason (round robin seeding plus playoffs) games. He had six goals and 17 assists in 69 regular season games.

Bjork has been inconsistent during the playoffs and has been in and out of the lineup.

Defenseman Connor Clifton also came out of the lineup. Cassidy chose to go with seven defensemen. He added Jeremy Lauzon to give his team more size and physicality as well as veteran John Moore. Par Lindholm will replace Kuraly as the fourth line center. Clifton was a surprising scratch too because Cassidy had said earlier in the day that he’d be the emergency forward if the Bruins needed one of their seven defenseman to move up.

Charlie Coyle and Nick Ritchie will have a rotating collection of wings with them on the third line.

As he stated at the press conference, Cassidy used Jaroslav Halak in back to back games.
