The NBA playoffs are expected to resume after a work stoppage on Wednesday, following a players’ meeting in which it was decided that the players would finish the season, according to multiple reports. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reported that among others, LeBron James had a shift and decided it would be in the best interest of the players to finish what they started in the bubble by finishing the playoffs.

The NBA has not made any formal announcements, but the playoffs will resume this weekend and perhaps as early as tomorrow, playing the Game 5s that were scheduled for yesterday, according to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

Source tells AP a scenario being considered by the NBA is a common-sense one: Play Wednesday’s games tomorrow, play Thursday’s games Saturday.

The NBA will likely make a formal announcement about when the playoffs will resume later today, but it does appear that it’s safe to say there will be a conclusion to the current NBA season. It remains to be seen what concessions, if any, will be given by the owners to incentivize players to finish the season.

The Los Angeles Lakers are one game away from advancing to the second round of the playoffs, in large part due to their amazing defense. The Lakers have posted the best defense in the playoffs so far, shutting down what had been the best offense in the bubble led by Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers. However, there are legitimate concerns about their offense, especially their offense on the perimeter.

The Lakers offense, particularly their jump-shooting, was the subject of a piece in which ESPN’s Kirk Goldsberry closely examined the ability of the Lakers to hit jumpers. According…

NBA players made history on Wednesday, led by the Milwaukee Bucks, as they engaged in a strike of the day’s scheduled playoff games. The Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Lakers joined the Bucks and Orlando Magic, in striking their games and the NBA quickly followed suit by temporarily postponing today’s games. After this, of course, comes the next steps, which still need to be decided.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe reported on Wednesday that every player currently inside the bubble has been invited to a player’s only meeting to discuss what they will…
