PS5 costs £450 in the UK, the same as Xbox Series X

Sony has finally announced a PlayStation 5 price. It costs £449.99 in the UK, while the Digital Edition costs £359.99.

Sony also announced the release date: 12th November in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, and the 19th November in the UK.

The PS5 Digital Edition, however, costs £110 more than the Xbox Series S. But it’s worth remembering the PS5 Digital Edition is the standard model sans an optical drive, whereas the Xbox Series S is less powerful than the Xbox Series X.

Sony has said the PS5 will be available to pre-order tomorrow morning, 17th September 2020 at “select retailers”. We’re trying to find out which ones now.
