Good morning, Ohio State fans, and welcome to the Scarlet Sunrise. Football will always be our focus, but every day we’ll cover news, notes and analysis from across Buckeyes sports. Join us each morning to get caught up on everything you missed in the world of Ohio State football, recruiting, basketball and more.

As the Big Ten presidents and leaders met again Tuesday, Ohio State and the other 13 Big Ten schools continue to wait for answers. They wait for a start date for practice, games and potential inclusion in the College Football Playoff. The schools wait for the green light from their respective presidents as a vote looms and rumors continue to grow louder.

An approval from the league is still expected, and the October start date appears to be on the table for the league that canceled its season on Aug. 11 and hasn’t provided any answers since.

The Buckeyes and the Big Ten schools continue to wait for answers — and they are staying ready for whenever the season is announced to start. The wait continues for the green light — for now.

As the Big Ten nears a decision and Ohio State finds out if it can compete for a national title this fall, the Tim May Podcast is back with another special guest.

Tim welcomes Dr. Corey Teague, the father of Ohio State running back Master Teague, back onto the show to analyze the latest developments in the ongoing return-to-play saga in the Big Ten. Tim and Dr. Teague break down the continued silence of the league, how it feels to know the process is almost over and much more.

Ohio State has some of the best linebackers in the country committed to its program. C.J. Hicks is among the best of them. The four-star linebacker from Kettering Alter High School is having an incredible junior season, and he seems to only be getting started. Lettermen Row is tracking the Buckeyes commits and their weekly performance, and Hicks has been dominant.

Regardless of position, Hicks has become one of the best prospects in his class — and he appears to only be getting better. The linebacker and do-it-all player for Kettering Alter had his third straight incredible performance Friday night in Alter’s first win of the season.

He started the night with a sack and forced fumble in the end zone that was recovered for an Alter touchdown. Hicks nearly returned a punt for a touchdown of his own, getting tripped up in the red zone. He had an interception return for a touchdown on an impressive read in zone coverage.
