TORNADO WARNING issued for parts of WAFB viewing area; Most of La. under Tornado Watch until 9 p.m.

    BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Parts of the WAFB viewing area are currently under a Tornado Warning.

    A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING has been issued for the areas in green. Flooding could threaten life and/or property. pic.twitter.com/BzwOwGllZy

    A SEVERE T-STORM WARNING has been issued for the areas in yellow. Seek shelter indoors until the storms pass. pic.twitter.com/i9xHEZYhgR

    Most parishes in south and central Louisiana and several counties are under a Tornado Watch until 9 p.m.

    A TORNADO WATCH has been issued for the areas in red. Tornadoes are possible within the watch area. pic.twitter.com/SO6igOym38

    Meteorologist Steve Caparotta is a native of Metairie and has been with WAFB since 2003. He earned a B.S. in Meteorology from the University of South Alabama and both a Master’s and Ph.D. in Geography (Climatology) from LSU. He is married with 2 daughters, Eliana and Clara.
