A massive fire broke out Friday at Connecticut’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, founded by the late actor Paul Newman.
Several buildings in the Ashford warehouse were on fire, NBC Connecticut reported, citing Tolland County Dispatch.
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp was founded by Newman in 1988 to give children with serious illnesses the opportunity to « experience the transformative spirit and friendships that come with the camp, » according to a website of the camp.
The camp has full medical facilities on site to provide children with the care they would normally receive in a hospital, according to NBC Connecticut.
