Neither Marvin Bagley III nor De’Aaron Fox have said anything publicly about it. Bagley shot down possible questions about his father’s tweet.
But that has to be at least a bit cumbersome between the teammates. I just don’t see how this can be avoided.
The players’ parents have previously requested a change of roster. Sometimes this is known in a team. This is different because the saga was played so publicly.
Fox is the Kings franchise player. Does Aaron Fox want Bagley to be gone just because Bagley isn’t fully on board with the Fox-centric program? Or does Aaron Fox have more specific problems with Bagley? Does De’Aaron Fox share his father’s sentiment? How does Bagley feel about all of this?
Players could relieve tension by answering some of these questions. Maybe they already have private. But their fathers turned it into a public spectacle, which means that external observers also want answers.
