Yes, we should vote for the local people who we think will best represent us in parliament

But this afternoon we also have the opportunity to take a close look at the leaders of the two main parties… ???? Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Leader of the Opposition Deb Frecklington

In an hour-long live debate on the Daily Mercury website, the duo will answer questions from undecided voters during the forum, hosted by Sky News chief presenter Kieran Gilbert, today at 16

Most election campaigns are stage-run photo opportunities where everyone present has been vetted in advance

This is an opportunity to hear genuine undecided voters ask genuine questions about the two women vying to lead our great state

The result of the votes and the winner of the debate will be announced when Mr. Gilbert to join Peta Credlin during Credlin at 5pm on Sky News

Hopefully the people we elect on October 31 will be up to the challenges ahead
