A man’s body was recovered from the Wattamolla Lagoon in the Royal National Park in Sydney.

Ambulance services arrived at the scene after 5:00 p.m. Monday, after two people reportedly got into trouble after jumping off a rock into the lagoon.

The rock and the lagoon are a popular seaside resort and very busy in the summer months.

NSW police said they had around 18. At 8 p.m., the body recovered from a man believed to be in his mid-twenties.

NSW police confirmed that a woman, also believed to be over 20 years old, was treated on-site by paramedics before being rushed to hospital.

NSW police said officers from the Sutherland Shire Police Area Command were present and are investigating.
