DUBAI: Australian captain Tim Paine was fined 15 percent of his game fee on Sunday for showing dissent over a referee’s decision on the third day of the third Test against India in Sydney. </ Paine was found to have violated "Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Staff".

« In addition, Paine’s disciplinary record, for which it was the first offense in 24 months, became a point of failure added, « read an ICC statement.

The Sch Referees Paul Reiffel and Paul Wilson, third referee Bruce Oxenford, and fourth official Claire Polosak established the charges.

Level 1 violations include a minimum penalty for official reprimand, a maximum penalty of 50 percent of a player’s game fee and a or two points of error.
