Some questions I know burn to answer again. George Clooney’s Head: How does it get its tight, even crop that’s been unchanged for about a decade? How did he manage to keep it so uniform for so long, is he just in there cutting mornings and evenings? What’s his secret?
As it turns out, a vacuum attachment. According to Clooney himself, who admitted on a Sunday morning CBS segment that he has been quietly cutting his hair with a Flowbee for 25 years. Yes, Clooney just loves a « refreshing vacuum haircut, » to quote the brand itself. He’s a flowbro, as they supposedly say. Which makes some sense to him, I think.

For reference, a Flowbee is a set of hair clippers that come with a vacuum connector so you can suck up the ingredients while you work. It was born in the late 1980s, has amassed a following of avid Amazon reviewers, and has apparently seen a revival in popularity during the coronavirus pandemic. As seen in the infomercial below, bounce the Flowbee all over the surface of your skull and it supposedly cuts your hair a length:
Clooney says he picked up one of these babies « years ago » and continues to use it today. His current style? Pure Flowbee as usual. « My haircuts literally take two minutes, » he said on a ringing confirmation that apparently crashed Flowbee’s website for a while. « Listen man, it works! »
Even so, the actor made sure that his « hair was really like straw so that it was easy to cut. ». You really can’t make too many mistakes. Which means to me: Take this shot with a grain of salt.
