An alleged gangbanger was fatally shot and killed early Sunday at a party at an Airbnb rental in Brooklyn.
According to police, 24-year-old Shamel Harris was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect who at 12: 50 o’clock a gun through a window in a building on Montauk Ave. shot down in East New York. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harris, who was a well-known gang member, had 20 arrests on his file, a police source said. The details of the arrests were not immediately available.
On Sunday, an Airbnb representative said the company had booted the user who rented the Brooklyn apartment from the apartment.
« Airbnb prohibits parties and we are outraged by the irresponsible behavior that has reportedly led to this criminal violence. We have removed this booking guest from our community while we are investigating this incident and are ready to assist NYPD with their investigation, « the company said in a statement.
