Late goals from Britt Assombalonga and Djed Spence were enough to push Boro up to eighth place in the table and they hope to continue to prove their promotional credentials against Forest this afternoon

Forest had a terrible start to the season and sacked coach Sabri Lamouchi after losing his first four games They have since replaced him with former Newcastle United and Brighton boss Chris Hughton and he is so far unbeaten with one win and three draws

Boro deserves this The brilliant cross between Saville and Johnson slips home with his first touch of the ball Patience pays once again

Fantastic Saville cross, tilted in the back post where Johnson arrives and shoots Boro leads!

Hard to believe this is Nathan Wood’s first start in the Championship Immaculate Didn’t get his foot wrong at the back and just played a perfect 40 yard pass from back to front

This just doesn’t happen for Assombalonga against his former team Great chance to break his forest duck for Boro with this first half Replaced by Akpom for the last 20

He wins the lead five yards from the corner but misses the mark Should score there, to be honest

No mistake so far Superbly timed Chance in Forest tackle but poorly launched

I booked early and was generally rude Maybe why he was replaced by Spence Had no signs of injury

Saw a lot of bullet on the right, cutting to his left Now in center stage

Good half Boro are the better team and have created a good three or four chances Forest defense looks shaky Boro’s defense looks solid Wood very assured so far Class McNair Forest hasn’t shot on target

Had the best of luck but didn’t take advantage of him Coulson did well to create his own chance which was saved Head-to-head Britt should have scored then Tav should have put away the rebound Frustrating to be level

Seems to be tactical after Morsy is booked and continues to twist like he does

Yates makes a mess of return and Assombalonga leaps up Samba saves but the rebound goes to Tavernier, who should score but ignite

Boro is starting to apply pressure now Britt has just come in close Boro got a corner for it McNair ends up crossing and it was close to causing trouble for Forest

Forest gives up possession in his own half and it’s a great run from Coulson in and through the box, but Samba closes his angles well and blocks the Boro man’s effort

Forest has his first effort on goal as the ball bounces gently for Yates and he fires around 25 yards, but it’s over
