How to watch a live broadcast of Preston vs Cardiff, as two play-off hopes clash at the start of the season

Preston and Cardiff will both be looking for their second win of the Championship season when they see the horns at Deepdale on Sunday

Preston was slow to lose focus for 2020/21 unexpectedly, recording a 4-2 win over Brentford ahead of the international break

This surprise win in West London came following a disappointing race in which Alex Neil’s team took just one point out of the first nine available

Their two games at Deepdale this quarter ended in loss, a record Preston will desperately want to complete this weekend

Like their future opponents, Cardiff have won one, drawn and lost two of their four games to date

And they too were stronger on the road, beating Nottingham Forest at City Ground and holding Blackburn to a 0-0 draw at Ewood Park

Despite their mixed start to the season, Preston and Cardiff will aim for a play-off berth this season

The Bluebirds finished fifth in 2019/20 and were narrowly beaten by Fulham in the play-offs semifinals, while Preston missed the top six by just four points

The Lilywhites are in good health heading into Sunday’s competition, a luxury not offered to Cardiff Lee Tomlin is serving a one-match suspension and will play no role in the North West, while Kieffer Moore treat a toe injury

Given the impressive nature of their 4-2 win over Brentford a fortnight ago, Preston could stick with the same XI they deployed in the capital

This would see Sean Maguire leading the line in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with support from Scott Sinclair and Brad Potts on the sidelines and Alan Browne in an advanced midfielder role

Browne tested negative for Covid-19 during the international break and is expected to be allowed to feature in Deepdale despite conflicting reports earlier this week

Kick-off is at 12pm BST and the game is broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football in the UK See below to watch details where you are

GUIDE How to watch BT Sport, Sky Sports and BBC games on a Now TV Stick

If you are on vacation or just out of the country, your national on-demand services will not work – the broadcaster knows exactly where you are from your IP address Your access to the game will be automatically blocked, this which is annoying if you’ve paid a subscription fee and don’t want to use an illegal buffer stream that causes you to miss another Jamie Vardy goal and this is where we recommend ExpressVPN (more info below )

All you have to do is get yourself a virtual private network (VPN) to overcome these aggravations (assuming it is compliant with your broadcaster’s T&C) A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet , which means vendors cannot determine where you are and what you are doing Information coming and going is fully encrypted
