News Corp is a network of leading companies in the world of diverse media, news, education and information services

TSB’s online banking services have declined for some customers, preventing them from accessing accounts on payday

The problems appear to have started before 10 a.m. this morning, with over 500 users reporting issues on the Downdetector website

Overall, 78% complain about issues with online banking, 18% report issues with online banking, and 2% have difficulty with the website

Twitter users also posted on social media this morning, with one user saying, « Currently self-isolating, so relies on food delivery, but cannot access my @TSB account to transfer from money in the current account to order

« This happens too often for a bank let alone a bank as big as TSB #tsb #useless #boycotttsb »

A third customer wrote on Twitter: « @TSB what’s going on with your online service and app? I can’t access information on your website either

« This is a regular @TSB event and yet you never seem to update the website when problems arise, service absolutely terrible »

The Sun has asked TSB to confirm when the issues are going to be resolved, we will update this article once we have a response

Currently, the bank says it is aware of « intermittent problems » with its internet and mobile banking services

He added that he was reviewing the reported issues and said he would provide an update as soon as possible

Unfortunately, banks do not have to compensate customers for a drop in service, unlike telecommunications companies

However, you may be entitled to a refund depending on how the outage affects you

Note when you were unable to access services and the names of people you spoke to about resolving the issue – record keeping will strengthen your case

Earlier this month, an online issue at TSB prevented hundreds of frustrated customers from logging into online banking or the app

The outage came just days after TSB announced plans to close 164 branches due to an increase in mobile banking
