A grim salvage mission is underway after a man drowns at a popular seaside resort in northwest Sydney.
The man believed to be 41 was with five other men on Saturday afternoon on inflatable lilos on the Colo River.
Paramedics were dragged into the place, and the man, who is still partially underwater, was pronounced dead.
