This article aims to highlight some of the best NFL DFS games in each position for your cash game lineups. Keep in mind that the following player reviews were made earlier in the week and sometimes injury situations can change the fantasy landscape. By monitoring our & headlines on the NFL news during the day, you will stay in the know and receive the DFS consequences below for each piece of information.
We’re going to be looking at the three-game table for Wild Card Sunday look at. Lineups will close at 1:05 a.m. ET, and Baltimore versus Tennessee will begin.
This board feels very different from the player pool on Saturday. On Sunday we have an abundance of top games with not many confident bargains to make up for. Perhaps some last minute news is opening up opportunities for salary cuts, but at the time of this writing (Friday afternoon) it is not. Either way, you will likely have to make some decisions between the cleats on this slate. I prioritize Derrick Henry and Alvin Kamara (assuming he’s playing) over Lamar Jackson – although the Baltimore QB has a lot of advantages in this matchup. Simply put, I’m more convinced that Roethlisberger can get closer to Jackson’s Fantasy Score than any other RB who can be compared to Henry / Kamara. The Steelers are expected to score points on Sunday (26.5 projection) and that will likely come off Roethlisberger’s arm. The Browns have awarded QBs the eighth most Fantasy Points this season, giving Big Ben a nice Fantasy performance.
The matchup could be better, but Henry will continue to carry the Tennessee offense. He posted an admirable 28-133-1 (19.7 FP) in Baltimore on November 22nd, and this time around, that’s a reasonable prediction. Of course, Henry also has safe fantasy ground. The salary is expensive, which makes it a realistic cross-fade in large field tournaments. Still, I’ll lock Henry up as a cash game pillar on Sunday.
Alvin Kamara – New Orleans (v Chicago) – DK: 8,500 USD / FD: 9,000 USD / Yahoo: 37 USD
We think Kamara will play on Sunday, but watch out for the official word. Similar to Henry’s article, Kamara has an unbelievable fantasy combination of floor and ceiling despite the below average matchup. It’s extremely difficult to fade, especially when you look at the other RB / WR options on this panel. Kamara is an even stronger game than Henry when you consider his cheaper salary across the board.
Michael Thomas – New Orleans (v Chicago) – DK: 6,300 USD / FD: 6,800 USD / Yahoo: USD 26
Thomas will be playing on Sunday but we are not sure how effective he will be . Even so, the salary has dropped dramatically so we don’t risk too much by clicking him on a statement. You know he will see a healthy number of targets, and there is room for upward movement once Thomas has had enough time to overcome that ankle sprain. I think this is a situation worth looking at.
Darnell Mooney – Chicago (in New Orleans) – DK: 3,900 USD / FD: 5,400 USD / Yahoo: 13 USD
Chicago may have to throw the ball to keep up with New Orleans. Allen Robinson is still the bears alpha recipient, but Darnell Mooney is capable of big games too. He’s been up and down all season, but Mooney got away with a sweet 11-93 on 13 goals last week. We need to check his status as we near kick-off (questionable with an ankle injury) but Mooney is good business if he’s good.
As mentioned earlier, the Steelers must do the work in the air to achieve victory. I expect Roethlisberger to distribute the ball and Eric Ebron should get his chances. The Steelers’ TE has seen seven or more targets in four of their last six games. The Browns have awarded TEs the third highest fantasy score this season.
The saints represent the chalk defense of this tablet. If you go up against Mitchell Trubisky as the home favorite, that will be done for you. If you have enough salary to put them up, then by all means you can. However, I am not against putting a cheap filler on defense to make the other players of this article (Kamara / Henry) work. Who knows – maybe injured situations open up more value on this board and the defense of the saints is easier to achieve.
