World news – Star Trek confirms Spock Autobiography Set for September release


Trekkies hoping to learn more about Spock will see some great news. Star Trek just confirmed that The Autobiography of Spock will be released in September.

The upcoming book, « edited » by Una McCormack, will portray all of Spock’s unique childhood as a half-Vulcan, half-human boy until his adventures on Starfleet. These stories are told from Spock’s point of view, which is an interesting concept because we never really know what’s going on in his head.

Spock is without a doubt one of the most enigmatic characters in Star Trek. Originally played by the late Leonard Nimoy, the Vulcan was first featured in Star Trek: The Original Series as a science officer and first officer. He later became the commanding officer of two iterations of the Enterprise.

Although Nimoy initiated the role, Spock was also portrayed by two other actors. Zachary Quinto played the character in J.J. Abrams restart TOS. Ethan Peck then starred in Star Trek: Discovery and will return as a young Spock in the upcoming spin-off series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
