I couldn’t wait to find out what the Georgia Bulldogs football team could do against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday night Thanks to the team who worked the game in Tuscaloosa tonight, still don’t know
Alabama are certainly a great football team, and for most of the first half the Georgia Bulldogs were allowed to play them hard Then the following happened
Has anyone ever seen a staff member of a team so close to a referee during an exam? Just before halftime #UGAvsBAMA picTwittercom / kr4oPCETnu
There have been other questionable calls that I haven’t listed, but this particular 3rd-bet call allowed Alabama to score a touchdown instead of kicking the basket, which makes it a ten point game instead of a six point game Faced with a high power attack and two possessions, the game was pretty much over by then as Georgia couldn’t execute their own attack.
Georgia may have lost the match anyway, but we’ll never know as the officials dictated the outcome of the match The fact that the referee team felt the need to revisit a clear touchdown hold by Jermaine Burton in the second quarter without going over a questionable take by an Alabama wide receiver in the third quarter speaks volumes about the evening agenda
A common refrain among SEC fans who watch Alabama football games is « Checks Coming Out of Birmingham » As a conference with a product that represents billions of dollars in revenue, this should bother you that people constantly wonder if the integrity of SEC football games is corrupted by prejudice
I understand conference officials are humans who are required to make human errors from time to time, but if it was simply incompetence at stake, the results of that incompetence would not favor always the teams of the state of Alabama
No one is asking SEC officials to do anything unfair to a team I’m just asking you to call a game fair to both parties involved for once
Georgia may or may not be able to beat Alabama in a pretty called game. I’d love to watch this game and find out
They’ll never, ever beat Alabama and a crew full of conference officials actively working against them
