Before today’s KNVB Cup clash between Ajax and rival PSV, the Amsterdam team took on jerseys in support of the banned star Andre Onana.
Ajax ‘goalkeeper first choice and promising star received over the UEFA imposed a 12-month football ban after getting a positive result for a banned substance in an out-of-competition test.
The Dutch powerhouses reported in a statement when news broke that the 24-year-old was on Sept. October took a Lasimac pill. The ace felt uncomfortable and took his wife’s prescription medication.
The Ajax team stepped onto their field of play at his home, named after the legend Johan Cruyff and wearing Onana jerseys. The jerseys were marked with the name and number 24 of the ace.

It will be interesting to see if Ajax can successfully overturn this decision after claiming it was a real mistake by Onana.
