WARRINGTON Wolves have mutually released Tongan international Leilani Latu from the rest of his contract with immediate effect.

Tongan international Latu signed a two-year contract with the in January 2020 Australian side of the Gold Coast Titans, after making 58 appearances in the NRL.
He arrived with great expectations after starring with Penrith Panthers before moving to Gold Coast for big bucks in 2018.
However, concerns about his fitness arose when he did not appear for the first few months of the season and only appeared three times in the primrose and blue.
He also spent time with Widnes Vikings on loan.
With his departure, the club, which has recruited two highly regarded English props in Rob Mulhern and Rob Butler from Hull KR and London Broncos, respectively, has a free contingent place.
The club thanks the support for its efforts and wishes it all the best for the future.
