JAKARTA: To protect his wife and himself from the novel coronavirus while flying, an Indonesian has taken security precautions to a new level by booking an entire flight.
In a series of photos, Shared on Instagram shows Richard Muljadi, a Jakarta-based socialist, and his wife on an empty flight. Richard, also known for his flamboyant lifestyle, shared photos of a plane where he and his wife were the only passengers.
The photos were taken while traveling from Jakarta to Bali on a Batik Air flight , but did not disclose how much he paid to keep the flight private.
However, Richard said it was « still cheaper » than a private plane. He wrote, « After booking as many seats as I could, it was still cheaper to chat than a private jet. » Richard said that he and his wife Shalvynne Chang were « super paranoid » when it came to that to get the virus.
“I had to make sure no one else was on that flight. We only fly when we are, ”he said in another caption.
The Lion Air Group, which operates Batik Air, confirmed that Richard and his wife were the only passengers on the flight. However, the company added that Richard only booked two tickets on his behalf, contradicting his claim, local publication Detik Travel reported.
